ELECTRIC VEHICLES -  Charging Stations

With EVs, drivers are empowered since they do not completely depend on oil stations to fuel their car. In the best scenario, when plugging at night after a working day, charging the car would not even waste time, since it is done while the car is parked.

However, for the majority that does not have a private parking, a charging infrastructure needs to be developed around the country, to allow drivers to plug their EV. Many companies, municipalities and institutional bodies are now working to tackle the issue. Projects are popping-up around the globe, facing different questions:

  • Billing, identification of the client
  • Connecting cities to allow better trips than simply commuting
  • Getting standards so that any user can use any charging post such as we can now get gasoline in any oil station
  • Reducing the charging time
  • Capacity of the electric grid to provide enough power (once EVs are a mass reality)
